The Stories We Live – 21 of 52

This past weekend the boys and I headed out to Vancouver Island to spend time with Nana. My mom lives on Cowichan Lake and the day we showed up happened to be during Heritage Days. The boys were stoked there was a truck parade. Though we missed the actual parade, they did get to climb around in a couple of the trucks and get honked at.

It was also the first time we checked out the Kaatza Station Museum in Lake Cowichan. The boys were quite interested in the switchboard and it turns out my Nanny Smith used to work the switchboard at the Confederation Building in St. John’s, NL. Learn something new every time you hang with Nana!

It was so great to see our family and we are looking forward to spending a whole week there in the summer!
