Quinn: NICU and Beyond

Kate and I were all set to do a maternity session in mid October, but just like with my son, Kane, it was not to be. Quinn decided she just couldn’t wait any longer to meet her parents, Kate and Lee, and her big sister, Malia. Quinn was born on September 22, 2015 at 31 weeks and 3 days gestation. She weighed just 3 lbs., but within two days this little rockstar was breathing on her own, had gained half a pound, and was starting to breastfeed. Any NICU moms and dads out there know how big a deal these milestones are!

But this is not where our story ends. At just 2 weeks and 3 days old, Quinn was discharged home! Just in time for Thanksgiving.

You may recognize this dress from the newborn session I did with Quinn's sister, Malia.

This seems like the perfect way to end. And yes this photo was staged after Malia passed out on the floor!

This seems like the perfect way to end. And yes, this photo was staged after Malia passed out on the floor. It’s tough being a big sister!

You will definitely get to see more of Quinn down the road. Just like her big sister she has been signed up for a Baby’s First Year package, which includes a maternity shoot, four baby sessions, and a photo book.
