This is our 3rd photographer’s choice and as usual I wanted to make sure I got in the shot with my kiddos. The day I shot these happened to be Canada Day and our little Canadian family had just arrived at my husband’s family’s cabin on Priest Lake in Idaho.
Someone (the amazingly talented Tia) had painted a pallet like the US flag, which was perfect. Not only because this was Maverick’s first Canada Day, but because the boys also became US citizens this year, so it will be their first 4th of July.
I tend to shoot in aperture priority mode, which I love most of the time, but I need to remember to use manual mode when shooting with my remote.
Keep your eyes open for my documentary style Day at the Lake blog in the next week. I hope all of our Canadian family and friends had a wonderful Canada Day and happy 4th of July today!
