Chicago

This past weekend we were in Chicago for my brother-in-law Mike’s graduation from Northwestern. I didn’t end up bringing either of my big cameras on the trip, which gave me a chance to play around with VSCO Cam, a new app I have on my iPhone. This wasn’t actually planned. I had brought along my little point and shoot, but as luck would have it Fiddle Leaf Photography, a fellow photographer here in Edmonton, put out an ebook about phone photography. I was on baby duty in the hotel room on Friday night and decided to learn some new tricks, which resulted in me finally joining Instagram. You can follow me @kristy.wolfe. Anyway here are some of my favourites from the weekend.

If you need a closer look. Here's the same sign again at a public bathroom.

Mav passed out. Not sure why he chose to suck the blanket rather than his thumb this time.

Because you have to!

It was Kane (and Maverick and Mommy's) firsty MLB game.

Last on our agenda was a White Sox game. It was Kane (and Maverick and Mommy’s) first MLB game.

Daddy and Kane watching the game. A rather hot day, as you can see by Kane’s choice of apparel.

I can tell the difference between photos taken on my Nikon D700 vs my iPhone, but it’s nice to know that I can take some decent shots with just my little phone! And I’m sure as I go I will figure out some more editing tricks on VSCO Cam.
