I stopped by Ronald McDonald House on Saturday to drop off a USB drive with Christianna’s family photos. Martin Dugas, RMH’s CEO, happened to answer the door, give me a hug, and then he proceeded to explain what all the activity around the house was for. Turns out a company called KDM Management had set up a pop-up Mother’s Day shop and was having kids pick out a couple of gifts for their moms. Of course, I headed back out to the car and grabbed my camera.
This little lady was checking out the options for her mom, who you can see in the background.
Each mom was also given a red rose. As this mom was walking away, she emotionally explained that this was the first time she had been given a flower by her child. Well, that got all the KDM ladies out from behind their posts!
Making a Mother’s Day card to go with her gift.
That yellow wrap around watch looks perfect!
KDM Management also donated a cotton candy machine and a snow cone set-up to the house. Both were in full swing on Saturday afternoon!
There were also two ladies on hand who donated their time to paint nails. But careful, if mom was late for her appointment, the kids jumped right in!
So glad I stopped by!
