Clickin Walk

I left the boys with Harrison last night and ventured into downtown Edmonton to meet a group of Clickin Moms. We met at Remedy Cafe on Jasper Ave. and headed out to shoot. This was my first photo walk and I honestly think I did more chatting than shooting! Regardless, I got some shots which would have been perfect for last week’s project 52 theme, street photography, and even managed to get a couple for this week’s theme, food photography. But, best of all, I expanded my network of photog buddies in Edmonton and learned a few new things in the process.

I think this is my favourite street photography shot.

But this one is so perfectly Edmonton. And I can’ t believe this gentleman smiled right at me when I made this shot.

Luckiest shot of the day! I'm not a big fan of these majestic inland seagulls, but can't argue with a well timed (read lucky) shot. The following are different crops of the same bird. I was completely mesmerized by his feathers.

That’s one way to strengthen a brick wall I guess.

My first photo of the Leg.

Back to Remedy Cafe to exchange contact details and grab a drink for the drive home.

Alright and a chai cupcake. This also might end up as my food shot this week, mainly because I love the plate and the chair upholstery!

Looking forward to seeing what the other women (and men) choose to share.

  1. I stumbled on your site when you wrote about mental health (I suffer from depression) and have loved following your posts. These are all wonderful pictures but my favorites are the feathers on the gull. They are certainly not my favorite birds but reminded me of the beautiful hummingbirds that will be coming home soon. Thankyou for sharing.
