Voluntography – April

While I was shooting Malia’s newborn photos I met her grandparents, Leanne and Darcy, who mentioned that they were on their way over to the Stollery Children’s Hospital to visit their grandson on his first birthday. This month I had no takers from Ronald McDonald House so I let them know that if the parents were interested I would love to offer them a session. Well, right then and there, we headed over to the hospital to surprise Ben and his parents, Danielle and Doug.

Ben is at the Stollery due to Congenital Esophageal Stenosis. He was scheduled for surgery today. I just checked in with his momma to see how everything went and she explained the surgery didn’t happen. The doctors went in and dilated his esophagus and he is now scheduled for surgery on Monday. Our thoughts are with this sweet boy and his family.

Kane is at the Stollery tomorrow for a cardiology appointment and if we have a chance we plan to pop in and say hi.

  1. Thank you Kristy, we are really touched you thought of our grandson, you have a very compassionate heart to give so much of yourself to those who are in need to see a little light at the end of some hard times. It has been a pleasure meeting you
