Project 52 – Week 9 – Photographer’s Choice

This week was completely up to us. I decided I would try to take some shots of Kane that required no additional Lightroom editing (that’s another way of saying I’m a little behind!) This morning presented the perfect opportunity when Kane was experimenting with crayons. Lately, he has been trying to use writing implements when he finds them, so I figured it was time to break out the crayons.

Just one?

Just one?

I'll be needing a few more

That boy of mine is so determined

Look what I can do

Look what I can do

His favourite part was putting the crayons back in the box and then shaking them out again!

This is my submission to Clickin Moms for week 9

I was using my Nikon D700 with an 85 mm 1.4 lens. All of these shots were taken at ISO 1000 and a focal length of 2.8. The shutter speed varied. I have to be honest, I am not comfortable adjusting white balance so I keep it on auto. I’m hoping to get around to learning more about white balance and how to correct for skin tones more accurately sometime this year!

  1. Kristy these are such beautiful pictures of a simple time in a child’s life. I have told Cheryl many times Kane always seems to appear to be deeply pondering every move he makes and you capture it. You would never get this with a professional model. Don’t ever stop.

  2. The “….Project…” you have assigned yourself,

continues to produce your massively intuitive portfolio of excellence.
