My little brother, Brendan, tied the knot to his long time sweetheart, Chelsea, on Saturday, August 3rd as documented in the Times Colonist, on BC Transit TV, and on Global News (if you take a look at either of the last two links I’m the photographer wearing the coral coloured dress in the report…photography fame!!!)
This wedding was a little unusual for me as I had a number of roles, rather than solely focusing on photography. I was the proud sister of the groom, the mother of a kilt adorned baby, one of the MCs and I still managed to get a number of photos I am excited to share.
Prior to the wedding, I spent some time with Brendan and his groomsmen, Mike and Alex, where I got to capture boys being boys.
On to Christ Church Cathedral for a beautiful, traditional ceremony officiated by Reverend Will Ferrey, who was Brendan and Chelsea’s Youth Group leader from back in the day, and presided over by Reverend Dr. Martin Brokenleg.
The bridal party “attempted to” head over to Gyro Beach for a few photos before Brendan and Chelsea hopped on the #11 bus.
Brendan and Chelsea disembarked at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club for their reception, where the bride was “Screeched In” with full Newfie glory. The groom delivered a phenomenal speech that had family and friends laughing out loud one minute and secretly wiping away a tear the next! So glad I got to be a part of their special day.
